JO Companies closed on new construction financing in the third quarter of 2023 for its next development, Wangstad Commons, a $23 million affordable housing development! Wangstad Commons is now open, and delivers 54 homes for individuals and families to the City of Brooklyn Center located at 61st Avenue & Brooklyn Blvd.

Wangstad Commons will offer one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom units for households making incomes of 30%, 50%, and 60% area median income. Wangstad Commons will be an amenity-rich development. From being adjacent to Wangstad Park, every unit will have a washer and dryer, balconies, and residents will have access to a fitness center, community room, below grade and surface parking. Wangstad Commons will also be adhering to SB 2030. Wangstad Commons is also located on transit, and minutes away from a commercial corridor with national retailers and national food chains.

Pope Design Group is the architect and Doran Construction is the general contractor.

Wangstad Commons finished construction and received their Certificate of Occupancy on October 31, 2024.
